February Club Walk

We got the walking year off to an easy (though interesting) start along the beach in Saint Aygulf but for February we are offering something more challenging and it will be on Wednesday morning the 28th at Port Dramont. The walk is a circular climb to the semaphore du Dramont so requires a reasonable level of fitness and we would class it as medium in degree of difficulty. The reward will be spectacular views of the coast and Esterel and lunch afterwards for those interested.

The degree of difficulty is based on it being a walk uphill rather than on the flat but it isn't too arduous so don't let that put you off. The picture below suggests that it is more like a mountain climb but that is not the case - there is a wide road giving vehicle access to the semaphore and on the other side a walking path which offers a few more challenges because it is uneven. We can decide on the day which route we take.

It would be helpful if you could let us know if you are interested in joining us and we will send final details nearer the time. Please reply to walks.viac@gmail.com
